David O’Flynn is founder & CEO at Tolisons Private Equity, a technology investor across all sectors, and demon business builder. David sells an entire international airport ecosystem to the world. David is a trained lawyer, and has acted as external consultant to many major organisations within the extractive industry. Following his legal training, David trained and worked as a tax consultant with the FDC Group, one of the largest accountancy firms in the country. Here he specialised in advising private clients as well as Irish based companies in relation to: purchase and sale of businesses, passing assets to family members, estate planning and providing personal tax and wealth management advice to high net worth individuals.
During his time as a professional, David also successfully fostered his own entrepreneurial interests in a wide range of industries from renewable energy to web based enterprises. David’s personal business successes have been built on a strong understanding of national and international legislative regimes; his ability to identify and engage with new business opportunities and his drive to successfully deliver predetermined business objectives.
David has mentored on the Pan European Startup Accelerator Program, “Startupbootcamp” and has been announced as a mentor on new launched HealthXL, an accelerator programme designed for startups disrupting health through breakthrough technology. In June 2012, David was appointed by the Government to the Shannon Aviation Business Development Task Force. This body was tasked with seeking out and evaluating aviation-linked business opportunities that could be associated with the new entity, independent of the Dublin Airport Authority.
He also serves as a member of the Governing Board of Authority for the University of Limerick (2012 – 2017).
